I have always been interested in people and their stories. As humans, what more is there to us? This awareness and curiosity led me to work within the performing arts and the community sector. In this creative and accepting environment, I learnt the importance of empathy. After experiencing personal loss, it felt a natural step for me to make use of these life experiences to help families create a different sort of event for one of the most important things we ever have to do as human beings – say goodbye to a loved one.
The connection we make with others and the legacy we leave behind is how we will live on beyond death. I understand the importance of a funeral and of being alongside a grieving family as they make arrangements to say goodbye to a loved one at a time when it is most difficult to be practical. But that’s what I can do with you. Together, we can think about what service would do them justice and how best to tell their story. We can be quiet and reflective, joyful and uplifting – whatever best reflects the person who has died and your family’s thoughts and feelings.
As the day of the service approaches, you can feel confident that we will have created a personal service that will comfort you and truly reflect the life and personality of your loved one, giving you all the opportunity to do One Last Thing.
